The Science Behind Viveve
Our Viveve System is internationally patented and unique in that it offers cryogen-cooled monopolar radiofrequency (CMRF) that uniformly administers gentle volumetric heating while also cooling delicate surface tissue. This breakthrough technology is designed to stimulate robust neocollagenesis (the process in which the body produces new collagen) with one quick, half-hour to 1 hour, in-office session.
The Viveve Treatment works via a small probe which emits cryogen-cooling to protect the tissue and radiofrequency waves to heat the tissue. This prompts the production of new collagen to reinvigorate the tissue, returning elasticity to the area. We like to explain it like this - the procedure gently "wounds" the tissue which prompts your body's natural healing a regeneration response, just like when your body heals after a scrap or small cut.
Patient safety is always a top priority at M50, which is why we only provide treatments that have been thoroughly tested and approved. Viveve has been clinically tested in the US, Japan and in a multi-center randomized, placebo-controlled global clinical trial. These trials studied the safety, effectiveness and meaningful benefits of Viveve. All of the trials showed statistically significant and sustained results.
Viveve also has a Stress Urinary Incontinence IDE under FDA review.
If you have any questions about the safety or efficacy of Viveve, please consult our friendly and knowledgeable team. We would be happy to explain more of the science behind this treatment and how Viveve can benefit you!
